iVBook
iVBook is a text or ebook reader for Japanese encoded ascii document files.
I developed this on iPhone 1.1.2, but it should work on iPod touch and iPhone.
As you see below, iVBook supports only the vertical reading mode!
This is the view where you can choose a document from your list of '.txt' files.

You have to specify 'Path' and copy your '.txt' files there.

I updated iVBook to show many characters to be looked OK in vertical reading mode. Also 'Ruby' in Aozora Bunko format can be hidden. I'll released the next version in a couple of days.

Versions:
- 2/21/2008 : Version 1.5
2/15/2008 : Version 1.4
fixed the black out issue of the content screen.
added some more characters for vertical mode.
I tested on the latest 1.1.3, and iVBook is working fine. If you can't place bookmarks, try to open the permission of your EBook directory. --> chmod 777 /var/.../EBooks
2/09/2008 : 1.3 has been disted. There are a couple of new features.
you can change text, background and paper color.
you can specify the directory where iVBook saves bookmarks. This is for 1.1.3, which I've not tried yet, and don't know if this solve issues on 1.1.3.
Animation. It's funcy but may crash your iPhone. If you have problems, try to kill Spring/SummerBoard, and see if it helps. If you'll have lots of crashes, please let me know.
Added some more characters to the conversion table.
Added support for '[#Kai-page]'
Tap and drag at the bottom of the screen allows you to browse pages.
When it starts, the last seen document will be loaded automatically.
1/26/2008 : This is version 1.2. Just added icon image. That's it. ;-)
1/21/2008 : updated a lot! The content view improved! 'Ruby' can be skipped from the setup menu.
1/19/2008 : The initial version. To navigate the screen, do 'swipe'.
Install:
make a dictionary called, 'iVBook.app' under /Applications.
copy files in a downloaded zip file to the directory.
change the permission of iVBook to 0755
copy your .txt files to /var/root/Media/EBooks or somewhere.
